Day 9: Guangzhou-Singapore

i'm happy to be coming home. haha. i got to say that my new phone is very very cool. it has a stylus for the touch screen, yes, it's touch screen. next, it has functions that can be controlled by motion as well. for example, i can change my wallpaper by simply shaking the phone to one side. lol.

here comes the not so usual parts. when you answer a call, you can choose if you want a background sound. background sounds would include things like disco, sidewalk or train. so when you choose one, the person who calls you will think that you're at the place due to the background sounds when you're actually still sleeping at home. when plugged into the computer, the 3 megapixel camera can be used as a webcam. too cool.

anyway, when i land in singapore later, it will be straight to the movies for national treasure and of course countdown at esplanade for the new year with fireworks! =)

Day8: Guangzhou

had lunch at come place called the Buffet Club. goodness, too much food there and even a chocolate fondue fountain. however, there are slightly special things such as dog and rabbit meat. haha. finally bought a K Touch after hunting for so long.

well, this morning was kinda emo. i realised i'll never have a chance to put on a school uniform again and i really miss SA alot. ugh. i also realised that when the boys enter NS, i'll still be schooling and when they end NS, i'll enter alone. ah sucks. I'LL BE HOME TOMORROW!

i'm sorry for being unreasonable and paranoid.

Day 7: Guangzhou

i'm irritated with my mum, she making all sort of fuss that the hotel room is haunted and she wants to change to another room. her fuss reached the climax when the necklace of my cross snapped for no reason in the room. ugh.

Day 6: Shenzhen-Guangzhou

another boring day spent at a theme park followed by tons of good food. just checked into the hotel moments ago, a bloody big suite. the living room is half the size of mine and the bedroom is bigger than my parents'. the most amazing thing is there are two toilets. woohoo! i miss you, i wanna go home! ugh.

Day 5: Shenzhen

there's 4 days more and i'm getting bored already. headed to this really busy street filled with buildings after buildings of electronic goods stores. so i bought 8GB memory cards which cost only SGD10 and also PSP games which went for 20 cents for 10 games. woohoo!

Day 4: Hong Kong-Shenzhen

a pretty simple day where i met my friend at Kowloon Cricket Club for some boxing day hockey carnival thing. cool, i got to play hockey in hong kong. haha. then it was taking a train again to shenzhen. foot reflexology and haircut at this really big place. cool stuff. so now i'm rotting in the hotel watching soccer. heh!

Day 3: Hong Kong





so i ferried over to this central business district of theirs. their skyscrapers are really something and they surely amazed me. woohoo. well, nothing amazes me more than the size of their designer boutiques and prices are cheaper than singapore too.

impressive isn't it? haha. then there's also this pharmacy which is guardian look alike.

hahaha. then it was this tram ride up to the peak of this mountain for some scenery, nothing special.

Day 2: Guangzhou-Hong Kong

so today was a day whereby from guangzhou, i headed to hong kong by railway. but before the train ride, i decided to head to this secret corner just a few streets away from my hotel to see these adorable dogs.


adorable dogs aren't they? sadly, they are outside this coffeeshop where they call it restaurant. they have dog meat on the menu and they let customers choose which dog they want to eat. well, sick. eating such adorable things is wrong. at least put them in the kitchen instead of letting customers choose which to eat. fuck to this. railway time then.

the train travelled really fast and it was quite steady. so i had quite a good sleep in the air-conditioned cabin. the world is so small that i actually met my teammate who lives in hong kong so he has arranged for me to play some hockey on wednesday over at hong kong, cool stuff eh.

the streets of hong kong filled with neon lights and also krispy kreme donuts to satisfy my hunger. heh heh.


that's how powerful the world of imitations can be. every form of designer leather goods and even ed hardy caps. they are good, very.

Day 1: Singapore-Guangzhou

ah, so i arrived at the airport wearing pretty skimpily while everyone else were wearing things like jacket, gloves, beanies, boots, scarves and coats. haha, the temperatures are gonna be around 15 degrees. hack the warm clothing, i love air-conditioning even in the outdoors.

so yea, arrived at the bloody big hotel room at Holiday Inn. then headed to the cold streets for a walk and of course the shopping begins. nothing too glam to be bought but all at super cheap prices.

so yea, that bloody shoes up there are converse imitations but it costs only 7 singapore dollars. what else can i say? these china people are good la. there are also tons of louis vuitton, gucci and coach stuff which are once again imitations. lol.


woohoo! we ended the night by trying donkey meat and now we're at a ktv where i have gulped down tons of beer so far and just going crazy about the size of the humungous ktv room plus the free internet access i'm having now! heh! =)

tomorrow, i shall leave for my bi-annual overseas shopping trip and shall be back only on new year's eve. goodbye singapore.

i just freakin assembled a woofer and two little speakers which can be connected to my ipod, laptop and even psp. high ah!

working for NUM is too cool la. so many free parties and now, there's even a free museum visit. lol, very happening even though i'm just a part-timer. well, it's even cooler when Marina Sands invited us to open a store at the new integrated resort alongside stores like LV, Gucci and Prada. woohoo!

working in the main branch at heeren is cool coz boss is always there. we get free frappes, log cakes and even Godiva chocolates today. woohoo! oh, i wrote down alot of stuff to buy for the christmas staff discounts as posted yesterday already. i'm gonna be slightly poorer but my wardrobe is gonna be richer by a million folds! last day of work for the year today. whee!

okay, i'm gonna be very gay and complain how fat i look in this picture. haha, i was chewing a subway sandwich in my mouth. lol. so yea, she came and bought flipflops. well, stayover at jing's last night was fun with mahjong and pool to take us through the night. haha. then soccer this morning was a little ugly though. woohoo. so which two girls was it that came to look for me at NUM's christmas booth this morning? hmm. time to watch soccer!

just got home from barbeque at jing's place. the chat we had with our secondary school form teacher just brought back so many bittersweet memories. haha. gonna head back soon after i post this for a stayover due to severe pressure from the rest. haha. anyways, i've been permanently posted to the main branch of NUM which is the heeren one. i heard it's pretty strict there, ugh.

my day bought me those cool mints above! they are basically beads with liquid mint inside, super cool to put one in your mouth. well, there's always better things to put in the mouth though. alright, work at vivo later then it's kbox time with the usuals! =D

working at the cathay was okay, another very slack store. haha, we have new paperbags which are super cool so go buy something soon!

My Chemical Romance 2007

so leon and i stupidly went to queue at 8am when doors open only at 7pm. haha. to make things worse, we didn't even end up in the front together. well, we ordered macs breakfast while queuing then reinforcements of lynn girl and jenn came to take over the queue for us so we headed home to bathe and change. then we met at airport for lunch before heading back to expo.

so when we got back, the queue was obviously longer and we were happy to have queued early. after much waiting, we got into the venue, waited longer and were kinda far away from the stage. well, this crazy band has crazy fans, everyone was pushing here and there that i got kinda seasick and often, there were groups of people that will tumble onto the floor and have to quickly be lifted up before they got stepped on.

so the concert began...everyone went crazy...and i was far away from the stage...


being very shortchanged by such a far position from the stage after queuing for 12 hours, i decided to abandon my friends and venture my way forward, ducking and even darting. so i fucking finally got to the front row after like half an hour of struggle. i got to see everything so clearly, i got spat on by the lead singer and everything was cool except for a mass of people pushing me from behind and a barricade infront smashing me.


the concert was great luh, just tons of noise. to let you all know how violent this concert is, i can say i witnessed a guy who fainted, my gang had one with blood on the lips, one with scratches on the feet and myself with red marks on my neck because of my necklace. oh ya, did i mention the bruise on my back? ugh. no wonder it's called The Black Parade.

everything was worth it when the lead singer took a sip of water from a bottle, threw it at the crowd and a boy named ivan caught it. =D
