okay, some photos taken at fanglynn's place not too long ago. i'm sparkling this year =D

firstly, everyone have an OXpicious new year and gong xi fa cai, the typical boring line. today, i wished everyone sheng ti jian kang coz i think health is wealth. so many relatives died recently, maybe coz last year i only wished them gong xi fa cai. but anyway, the usual la, visit visit visit and collect angpao. hell yeah we're having recession, i could feel it from my angpaos. bloody hell.

anyways, fanglynn and i joined in the crowd at chinatown yesterday. strangely, due to difficulties in finding a parking lot, we did our countdown while on the road driving and joined in the crowd only after 12. well, everything there as usual la, cheap cheap. nothing amusing, nothing new, nothing interesting.

chinese new year is so typical and boring. can someone introduce fusion? please, something fresh next year. why pineapple tarts? why ba gua? why not strawberry tarts? i dread another chinese new year.

fanglynn came over for steamboat lunch today then it was super last minute shopping again with yuquan, this time took a drive to town then vivo to grab clothes. haha. i don't think i'm very ready for chinese new year in terms of clothes but who cares? just show me the money! then reunion dinner and the usual. boring, someone should change chinese new year traditions and modernize it. like the whole family go to pulau ubin to camp and barbeque wild boar for dinner or something like that.

last minute chinese new year shopping with yuquan and fanglynn today at the bugis area coz i had work at bugis. main objective was to look for a pair of shoes and i managed to find a white pair of leather slip-ons from pedro. like them a lot. then went to ritz strudel for a fat feast of strudel, cream puffs, pie and root beer before heading to work. wheee! =D

haha, school is fun today coz fellow ex-saint sijia and i wore our SAJC uniform once again to tp for our role-play presentation. haha, we are not as glorious as ever but i believe happier than before. lol.

i realised come the end of february after my exams, i'll be having 8 weeks holiday! anyone wanna book me for any activities in advance? sigh, fanglynn will be away in melbourne by then. it's either i fly there for a week or two or spend my 8 weeks working away to kill time. gosh, 8 weeks, that's like 2 months. tough shit. can take time to spend with my boys also before they leave for the dumb and stupid ns. haha.

if only i could stop time, then you would always be by my side and not leave me ever.

somehow my seven years friend has entered tp at the same time as me and we finally found time for lunch today. hello joan fong, nice to see you again.

anyways, just got home from hilton hotel with fanglynn for the trinity college preparation talk. well, melbourne's a nice place to live and studying at trinity has good prospect. it's only a one year college path that leads 85% of the students into the university of melbourne. it's like jc here in singapore but it only lasts a year. subjects are more flexible to choose from also, and the university of melbourne is ranked better than nus here in singapore.

if i could turn back time, i would have headed to trinity college straight. it seems easier, but easier things always comes with a price which is money. it is not cheap to live in australia and the school fees are quite a bomb. well, it's hard to fail there i think, the guy who gave the talk made it sound so easy to enter the university. oh ya, the campus has great facilities and it's in a great location too.

everything's great and set in place for fanglynn. i'm happy yet unhappy. happy she is moving on to a better education path, unhappy that she will be leaving singapore for years.

so everyone countdown to chinese new year and stuff like that. countdowns are usually towards a happy event. for me, i'm counting down to the day fanglynn leaves for melbourne. with so little days left, it just hit me that how much my life will change. regrets are definite, regret for all those minutes when we're not together when we could be. regret not walking that extra few shops with you on weekends, regret missing movies that we didn't catch.

ahya stress. don't leave la. i'm sorry for all the wrongs, i'll remember all the sugar moments. haha. ahya. zz. gosh. oh wells.

i went back for src training again just now after months, it's nice that things are resolved in a way that everyone is happy again. i'm just glad to be running around again on the pitch with the guys and playing what i love the most. hehe, just came home and got a king ramly again waiting for me. wheee! =D

i discovered something with fanglynn today. i'm sure many of you eaten a ramly burger, how about a king ramly? actually nothing much, just an extra patty and lots of cheese. cool, fattenning shit. woohoo! delicious to the max yo. anyways, worked at bugis today, another boring weekday.

today was a cool day because fanglynn came to my school to meet me for lunch and have a little tour! hahaha. i hope the boys will do that soon also, it will be very very fun. heh!

ramly burger with fanglynn today, i love ramly burgers. haha. sucks la, just found out that my birthday this year won't be a very nice one coz it's sandwiched by tests. one test on the 4th and another one on the 6th plus lynniegal is leaving at midnight on the 6th. sucks man. dammit. basket.

on mc today, so rested at home for pretty much. went to yuquan's at night and it was really fun, lots of free food and of course entertainment. celebrated chinese new year, christmas and national day all at one go at his house. hehe. it's our scandalous little secret that occured in his room. woohoo. so yea, cool shit. thank you yuquan for all the food and the $18/piece chocolate. i love you =D

Brunch @ The Four Seasons Hotel!


courtesy to selina, fanglynn and i were treated to a free brunch buffet worth $88 per person with the above menu. i'm lazy to blog too much but the menu is enough to do the talking? hahaha. the risotto and pasta part on the menu is too simply described, they bloody had all sorts of pasta cooked the way you want it, i really mean ALL. the risotto is also awesomely mad.

the desserts were also not flattered enough. the chocolate cake i have to describe. it's basically the batter in a cupcake holder. then you ask for one portion, the chef bakes it on the spot, flip it out of the cupcake holder, put come strawberry compote on it. it looks like a warm chocolate cake, but when you dive your fork in, piping hot chocolate flows out of the cake just like lava, madness.

the salad bar was also not mentioned but it is good man. the salad is made by the chef fresh on the spot, he grates the cheese there, he mix everything up there. wraps were also great, tortilla wraps, super nice. of course the fresh fruit juices, almost 20 kinds of fruits? craziness. my favourite was the open kitchen part mentioned in the menu...


just look at that. steak, lobsters, lamb, chicken, pork, sausages, salmon, cod, mushrooms, foie gras. you eat till you vomit i tell you, i just kept attacking those lobsters again and again. oh ya, it's not cooked and you pick it from the buffet. you choose the raw thing, the chef cook it on the spot for you! it's crazy la. crazy crazy brunch.

well, the icing on the cake was of course great company. thank you lynn girl, i enjoyed brunch with you today but sorry for tonight. hee hee.

so it was a really retarded but fun day today. thus, we went on a peranakan tour after being inspired by channel 8's drama serial, xiao niang er. hahaha. so a peranakan tour it was but first, we had to fill our stomach up with lunch at adam road. oh guess what, a retard like me spent $10 on a bowl of prawn noodles, lucky the prawn was big big. then the tour begins, so a little tap on google maps on the iphone to find a peranakan museum...


then happily you head to the museum!

for thos who watched xiao niang er, i found their family signboard at the museum in the picture below! hahaha. there were many other artefacts there that were also found in the show. cool shit.

bruised and battered by my christmas spending, i just couldn't afford entering one of the many peranakan restaurants there. no choice, had to give the i-hate-queuing-for-astons look and settled the day with dinner there.

woohoo!!! super duper much fun today. been long since my baby and i gone on a date by taking buses rather than me driving. i think taking buses are more fun than driving. hehehe. brunch tomorrow at four seasons hotwl, heard it's mad, really mad.

anyways, about fabulous glow last night, it was pretty mad as usual, all the confetti and balloons falling from the sky. last night was a little special for me, i had a gay buying me a drink, another asking to dance with me and one asking for my number after he winked at me. it was all good clean fun and the music was great. everything was spoilt when two mat gays tried to sandwich me and grind me. luckily i escaped and made mingjiang pretend to be my boyfriend. gosh, mad idiots.

well, i think the way i danced and whipped up the crowd has got me pretty famous in Fabulous. i better stay away, it's not pretty famous, it's too famous, seems like every guy there is trying to hit on me. bloody hell. oh ya, did i mention the drunk bartenders? they sprayed water at the dance floor. lol.

oh, i also sped at 150km/h yesterday, first time i gone that fast, previous record was 140km/h and with a 7-seater mpv mind you. lol. i spent $1 on orange juice in school today. that's the only money i spent today. =)

today was a mad day of sporting action. friendly hockey match for my school against cjc this morning followed by soccer in the afternoon. madness. now i'm burnt and very very very tired. i'm serious, my eyelids are closing while i type which resulted in me taking like 40 seconds just to type this sentence out. sucks.

oh ya, i flashed my bare ass while walking down frankel today coz the walk was so boring. haha. anyone dare? okay, that's stupid, but i don't regret it. i'm terribly tired, my brains are getting smaller as i type. shall go take a nap now, fanglynn's coming over to watch penelope with me on dvd laters! yay!

so yea, that pair of jeans up there costs about $150 and it's really cheap for the amount of artistry and workmanship put into it. not forgetting, the good quality of the denim. what i like most is the back pockets with the leather flaps and also the front pockets with the beautiful floral pattern material. not forgetting, the wave designs at the foot of the jeans, exquisite man. some say very ah beng, i say very class. nippon blue jeans, a brand from japan.


and i just couldn't escape the lure of gucci. haha. somehow, i like the paperbag more than the belt. lol. but no, i did not buy the belt just for the paperbag, i like the belt too. singapore sells it at $580 but i bought there for only $470 after all the tax refunds and stuff. so it's pretty cool shit. oh man, i'm still too lazy to blog properly about taiwan, there's just so much.

so anyways, i had a midnight call from my NUM director yesterday to alert me about Fabulous New Year at stjames powerhouse. yes, another gay party. so yea, at the dying hours of the party, i rushed down and was treated to some really-out-of-this-world scenes for my eyes. as usual la, the making out between guys and all the kissing. haha, i got no comments man. well, i was there for another personal reason, but all my guy friends relax, i'm straight. lol.

so yea, went for awhile and then drove my boss for supper or should i say breakfast at the macdonald's outside shaw. it was really nice to be in town at 4am when it's peaceful and quiet. if you're not an earthling, you wouldn't expect the place to be bustling within a few hours time. so it's really nice to see a often packed and busy place quiet and empty.

had a nice long chat with my boss about the future of NUM and about life. learnt a lot, and my boss always has a lot to share which brings wisdom and inspiration sometimes. so yes, it was a fruitful chat that made me learnt quite a bit, not just in my work life but in my personal life.

tonight is an outing with my boys, the title of tonight's outing is Le Grande Birthday Celebratione. don't ask me why, we're always just this kinky and weird. shall update this post after the outing tonight.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

alright, let's try to make this an interesting post since it marks the beginning of the new year. well, let's start with the same old reflections of the previous year, supposedly, i'm supposed to be mugging really hard for A levels last year and this year i would be dreading to be entering national service soon, but well, life doesn't always goes as planned right?

mine definitely doesn't go as planned. so yea, SAJC's withdraw boy wasted 2007 there and embarked on a different education path in 2008. so yes, lots of months spent in temasek poly and things are more relaxed now i guess. are things happier now? i really don't know how to answer that question. mixed feelings i guess.

well, in 2008, lots of things happened and one big change would be in my hockey path. yea, for those who have known me for long, you would know that hockey is definitely a big part of me or should i say was a big part of me. it's not anymore. complicated and long story, shall not waste space by raking it up again.

at the closing stages of 2008, i also made enemies with a kin of mine, something rather big i guess and will last for a long long time and maybe forever. relationship wise, 2008 was quite messy, maybe not messy in a sense like it's very bad, just lots of ups and downs, guess it's the norm in relationships. but overall, it's been a happy one rather than sad one for me i guess.

made new friends and lost some friends. not forgetting, i grew a lot under newurbanmale as well. forged closer relationships with my colleagues and realised that true friends can be found at workplace as well. not forgetting i pulled one of my boys, leon, into num. i think i've grown a lot and matured a lot in 2008, maybe it has to do with being 18, maybe because of a new educational environment.

well, have i changed? definitely, for the better or for the worst, i'll leave it to others to judge. but from my personal perspective, i think i've changed to see things clearer and know that life is not always rainbows and butterflies. i always thought that everyone can smile the day through and the next day will come shining brightly again. nah, it's not true, nothing is perfect for sure.

well, looking forward to 2009, nothing much really. new year resolutions? not really anything in particular except waiting for the one i loved faithfully. this year, fanglynn will be leaving for melbourne in february to pursue studies, something that can impact me a lot. maybe it's a good chance for me to take time out to do things i want to do and catch up with family and friends. yea, maybe, perhaps.

of course, my boys, i still love them a lot. haha. so yes, i spent a quiet new year countdown last night with fanglynn at tanjong rhu looking at fireworks. something simple, quiet, yet meaningful. just wished that my boys and family could be there too, would have been more meaningful. i had offers to clubbing and of course the siloso beach party, but i think countdowns should be quiet and spent meaningfully with loved ones right?
